Katie is an art educator from Memphis, TN who just cannot keep her nerdiness out of the classroom. She believes that visual culture, a fancy pants term for pop culture, is an excellent vehicle for bringing art to children and is the driving force behind her lessons.
Katie received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting from the Memphis College of Art where she is also working on her last year of her Masters of Art in Teaching in Art Education. She teaches for TADA, Pinot's Palette, Grumbacher through Michael's Art and Craft Stores, and First Unitarian Universalist Church of the River.
You can find her art work at several different locations around the Mid-south area such as Allie Cat Arts, Painted Planet, and She Boutique.

Katie, Do you have an email address for signing up?
ReplyDeleteThx, Michael, Midtown
Which classes are you referring to? I'm offering Art in a Tardis at Comics Cellar in Raleigh in October and it is also being offered under the name Art Through Time and Space through the Collierville Community Center.
DeleteIf you wish to take the class in Raleigh then you need to pick up the paper work from Comics Cellar and it gives you instructions to mail it in to the owner of TADA (not me - Lauren Cannon) and you let Jason - the owner of Comics Cellar that you have signed up for the class.
